Dani Pedrosa (Repsol Honda Team) led from start to finish to win his home Gran Premio Red Bull de España, while Italian Valentino Rossi clung on to the overall MotoGP lead after finishing a distant 10th for Yamaha.
A one-two for Repsol Honda Team who had reigning champion Marc Marquez finish 6.136 seconds behind another five-time World Champion – Jorge Lorenzo (Ducati Team) the triple MotoGP champion's first podium for Ducati since his move from Yamaha, completing a Spanish sweep of the podium places of the Spanish Grand Prix in Jerez. 2017.
Well done Pedrosa #26 you deserve the an impervious victory in his home Gran Premio Red Bull de España, storming away from his first pole position since Sepang 2015.
Pedrosa's first victory on Spanish soil since the 31-year-old won at Jerez in 2013.It was also his first in MotoGP since San Marino last September and continued his streak of winning a race in every season he has been in the top flight since 2006.
The MotoGP™ race in Jerez was race number 3000 in the World Championship.
