Manchester United are the UEFA Europa League 2017 Champions

Manchester United beat by 2 - 0 Ajax as a goal in each half and won the 2017 UEFA Europa League to complete the English giants' set of major UEFA club competition trophies.

Pogba scored with a deflected strike before Mkhitaryan's close-range finish on an emotional night in Stockholm in Friends Arena.

There was recognition before the game of those killed in Monday's attack in Manchester and United's players wore black armbands in respect.

The collection is complete, United are the fifth side to win all three major European club competitions.
Prior to this victory they had won the European Cup on three occasions, in 1968, 1999 and 2008, and
the Cup Winners' Cup in 1991.

Deprived of injured top scorer the Swedish superstar Zlatan Ibrahimovic, defenders Marcos Rojo and Luke Shaw and the suspended Eric Bailly, Jose Mourinho's side had to dig deep in their 64th and final game of this season.
Manchester United started quicker the Final, than some anticipated – but they always kept their shape and never really gave Ajax a sniff to control the match. They were solid in defence, both full-backs especially impressive, dominant in midfield – and
always had an outlet going forward. Their charismatic manager was animated throughout the game, but never more so than after the final whistle when he basked in the adoration of the crowd. This could be a real springboard for both him and the club for future battles.

A Dutch team with unblemished diamonds.

Ajax Amsterdam side who, with an average age of 22 years and 282 days, fielded the youngest
starting XI in a major European final,
they fought with much courage but they could not pass their greater experience and more valuable English team.

One more trophy and watta way to get UEFA Champion league tickets group stages, which will earn them about £50m in revenue.
This also represents their second trophy of Mourinho's debut season as United boss following their victory in the EFL Cup in February.

It was a brilliant performance & they won this for the City of Manchester.
Congratulations, Manchester United - 2016/17 UEFA Europa League champions!
